Privacy Policy and Terms of Use (EULA)
Privacy Policy
IronMedia is designed to organize and analyze your media library primarily on-device. This Privacy Policy explains what data IronMedia may access, what data may be shared, and under what conditions.
1. Data We Access
Depending on the features you use, IronMedia may access the following data on your device:
- Photos and videos in folders you choose to index
- File metadata such as filenames, folder paths, file sizes, and creation dates
- Speech or audio transcription data generated locally for supported media
- AI-generated embeddings, tags, and local search index data created on your device
- App settings and preferences
2. On-Device Processing
IronMedia performs media analysis, indexing, transcription, semantic search preparation, and embedding generation locally on your device.
Your photos, videos, transcripts, semantic embeddings, and search queries are not sent to third-party AI services for processing.
3. Optional Third-Party Model Downloads
IronMedia includes an optional feature that allows users to download additional AI models from a third-party provider. If you explicitly enable this feature, IronMedia connects to Hugging Face solely to:
- fetch the model catalog,
- check for model updates, and
- download the model selected by you.
When this optional feature is enabled, the following data may be shared with Hugging Face:
- IP address
- standard HTTP request headers, such as user-agent
- basic request metadata necessary to retrieve selected model files
The following data is not uploaded to Hugging Face:
- your photos or videos
- your transcripts
- your semantic embeddings
- your search queries
- your indexed media library contents
4. User Permission
IronMedia does not enable optional third-party model downloads by default. Before any connection is made for model catalog access, update checks, or model downloads, the app asks for your permission.
You may decline this permission and continue using the app’s on-device functionality.
5. How We Use Data
We use accessed data only for the following purposes:
- indexing and organizing your media library
- enabling semantic search and AI-assisted media discovery
- generating local metadata, tags, and embeddings
- providing speech transcription where supported
- downloading optional AI models if you explicitly allow network access
6. Data Storage
Media analysis data, including indexes, generated metadata, and embeddings, is stored locally on your device unless otherwise stated.
IronMedia does not sell your personal data.
7. Third-Party Services
IronMedia may use the following third-party service only when you explicitly enable optional model downloads:
- Hugging Face – for model catalog access, update checks, and model downloads
We expect third-party providers we use to provide protection for shared data that is the same as or greater than the protection described in this policy, as applicable to the limited data involved in those requests.
8. Your Choices
- You can choose which folders to index.
- You can disable optional third-party model downloads.
- You can remove indexed folders and reset local library data from within the app.

Terms of Use (EULA)
These Terms of Use govern your use of IronMedia. By downloading or using IronMedia, you agree to these terms.
1. License
Subject to these Terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use IronMedia on devices you own or control, in accordance with applicable Apple terms and policies.
2. App Functionality
IronMedia is a media organization and AI-assisted indexing application that primarily operates on-device. Certain optional features may allow the download of additional AI models from third-party providers if you choose to enable network access.
3. Optional Network Features
IronMedia may offer optional access to third-party-hosted model downloads. These features are disabled by default unless you choose to enable them.
If enabled by you, IronMedia may contact Hugging Face only for model catalog access, model update checks, and model downloads.
4. User Content
You retain all rights to your media files and content. IronMedia does not claim ownership of your photos, videos, transcripts, or locally generated metadata.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use IronMedia:
- in violation of any applicable law or regulation,
- to infringe the rights of others,
- to attempt unauthorized access to systems or services, or
- to misuse downloaded model files in violation of applicable third-party terms.
6. Third-Party Materials and Services
IronMedia may rely on third-party technologies, frameworks, or hosting providers for limited functions such as optional model downloads. Your use of such third-party materials may also be subject to those providers’ terms and policies.
7. Disclaimer
IronMedia is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of IronMedia shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the app.
9. Termination
These Terms remain in effect until terminated. They will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with them.
